Global Travel Services Lead

We are supporting an international organization in the search for an experienced travel leader to oversee and further develop a global corporate travel function.

This strategic role will oversee travel operations, supplier management, travel policy governance and travel-related cost optimization across multiple international locations. The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, operations, finance and senior business stakeholders to ensure an efficient, compliant and employee-focused travel programme.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the global corporate travel programme across multiple regions and offices
  • Own and continuously improve travel policies, processes and governance standards
  • Drive adoption and compliance of travel-related procedures and tools
  • Manage relationships with key travel suppliers and external partners, including travel management companies, airlines, hotels and risk providers
  • Oversee travel budgets, spending analysis and identification of cost-saving opportunities
  • Support the implementation and optimization of global travel platforms and systems
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective and safe travel arrangements for employees
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business travel needs and improve user experience
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract management and vendor performance reviews
  • Collaborate with sustainability-focused initiatives aimed at reducing travel-related emissions
  • Monitor operational performance, reporting and travel analytics to support strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Strong experience within corporate travel management in a complex international organization
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing global travel strategies
  • Experience managing large-scale supplier relationships and travel vendors
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation experience
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Experience managing change, driving policy adoption and improving operational efficiency
  • Familiarity with global travel management platforms and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working within matrix and multinational environments
  • Fluent English (C1/C2)

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing travel programmes across multiple regions and countries, ideally including exposure to Asian markets and/or China-related travel operations
