Accounts Payable Team Leader

For one of our international Clients currently expanding its SSC/GBS structures in Warsaw, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader.

We are seeking a proactive and people-oriented professional who combines strong AP process knowledge with leadership experience and enjoys working in a dynamic, international environment. This role offers an opportunity to actively contribute to process improvements, operational excellence, and the further development of a growing finance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team,
  • Setting team objectives and monitoring KPIs and operational performance,
  • Supervising invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor account reconciliation activities,
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements,
  • Leading regular team meetings, providing feedback, and supporting employee development,
  • Preparing, updating, and standardizing process documentation and procedures,
  • Cooperating with internal stakeholders and international business partners,
  • Participating in finance transition and process migration projects,
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing efficiency improvements,
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and representing the AP team within the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading an Accounts Payable or finance team,
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes,
  • Experience working with ERP and financial systems in a shared services or international environment,
  • Fluent English skills (minimum C1 level),
  • Experience in monitoring KPIs, process optimization, and operational improvements,
  • Previous exposure to SSC/GBS structures would be considered an advantage,
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills,
  • Ability to manage projects, coordinate cross-functional activities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
